Resumen:
During spring, surface waters of Potter Cove (PC) receive considerablefreshwater run-off from the melting glaciers, carrying an unknown load of DOM.Since the time of ice melting coincides with the Antarctic ozone minimum,increased UV-B surface radiation might enhance photooxidation of UVabsorbingDOM. The objective of the present study was to describe thedynamics of the H20n concentrations in the water surface of PC during theozone hole and ice melting period.
