Resumen:
NASICON (Nr,+,Zr,Si,P,O,,) is a new ceramic material8nd Is a fwd knlc conductor by Ne'. I t wmwtidy proporedfor use as an Ion-senrltlve membrane for ISE or ISFET devicesm o years ago. The rol-gel route is used here toprepare highdendty samples. Some phydcochemlcai charactorktlcrsuch as structure, conductivity, and soiuMity aredoscrlbed. Remits on ISEs made with this material arepresented hcludhg knaxchange klnetb, detectbn M,an dselectivity coeffkients. A sintering temperature influence Isobserved. The perfonname charactwlstks are compared tothose of a commercial giam membrane; the detection limith slightly poorer than for the commercial ISEs but selectivityis always better (up to 10 times). A condderabie sinteringtemperature influence is observed on the interfering protonphenomenon: the higher the temperature, the smaller theeffect.
