Hongos formadores de biominerales en diferentes horizontes orgánicos de suelos de Mar del Plata y Mar Chiquita

The relative abundante and the morphological characteristics of the biominerals calcium oxalate, whewellite and weddellite and secondary calcite of fungal origin in the organic horizons of typic Argiudolls, thaptoargic Hapludolls and typic Rendolls associated with different types of plant covers are the object of this study. The fungi were analyzed under binocular magnifying glasses, optic, polarization and scanning electron microscopy. Findings showed variances in the mineral species, in the abundance, and the morphology of the crystals of one specificd type of soil with different litter layer. Moreover, the biominerals found also varied in the different soils with diverse contents of calcium with the same ground vegetation.
