Resumen:
Diplotaxis tenuifolia L. (Perennial wallrocket) is a weed present in the southwest of Buenos Aires. This study determined the proper rate to control it using the herbicide glyphosate glifosato (Roundup Full II LS a.i: 66,2%, ea: 54%). Vegetative plants were grown in pots in three stages: early, intermediate and advanced. Glyphosate applications were performed under controlled laboratory conditions with a machine developed for this purpose. The plants were characterized in height, dry weight, leaf area and perimeter and number of leaves. Glyphosate applications consisted in six treatments: 0.125; 0.25; 0.5; 1; 2; 4 l ha-1. The machine sprayed a flow of 100 liters ha-1 using a nozzle of 8002. Leaf area was registered with the Image J software and the number and size of the impacts were measured with DepositScan. At 30 days after application, the treated plants were harvested and the height and dry weight was measured. Dose/response curve was made with the tested rates. The dose of glyphosate needed to obtain a 100% control at early vegetative stage was 0.25 l ha-1, in the middle vegetative stage is increased to 0.5 l ha-1, and finally in advanced vegetative stage is needed 1 l (0.662 g a.i. ha-1). Adjusting the dose/response curve determined that 0.605 g ai ha-1 was needed for 90% of control in the advance vegetative stage. D. tenuifolia is controlled easily with half of the recommended commercial dose label.
