Resumen:
A female Architeuthis sp. was found in Bustamante Bay (Chubut, Argentina:
45´ 08´ S - 66´ 31´ 5" W) in May of 1996. This individual was
found in the beach, in relatively good state of conservation. Its dimensions,
obtained in fresh, and morphornetric indexes are given. The
present is the fourth record of the genus in the Southwestern Atlántic.
