Resumen:
This document assesses the use of microdebridement, which allows to perform partial intracapsular tonsillectomy more accurately than with other generally used technologies and whose advantage over the conventional procedure is that a tonsil tissue coating and the tonsil capsule is left thus protecting the underlying muscles which might improve post-operative symptoms. Also, this document assesses the microdebrider within the setting of other nose-throat surgeries such as turbinectomy and nasal polypectomy.
