One of the most important applications of the cellulose is the paper industry and its use in the packaging food and beverage.The current challenge referred to consumer goods packaging is to provide better quality, wholesome and safe foods and also to limit package related environmental pollution and disposal problems, besides to extend the shelf life of food and beverage.Taking into account these topics, the development of bioactive papers by bioactive compounds grafting onto commercial papers is proposed in this work, in order to give it specific properties like antimicrobial activity, antioxidant, insect repellent, etc, that contribute to the preservation of food
