Resumen:
This research work analyzes the hydraulic effects produced by a bridge over the Suquía River, Córdoba, Argentina. The bridge under study is located upstream from the confluence with Arroyo La Cañada. The flow in the bridge study area, for the design hydrological conditions, presents an undulating behavior with a flow regime close to the critical one. To address this problem, a compound modeling methodology is developed and applied using a complementary three-dimensional (3D) physical model and two numerical software: one two-dimensional (HEC-RAS 2D) and the other three-dimensional OpenFOAM® type CFD and, finally, they are compared and they analyze the results obtained with each of the models.
