Resumen:
Outputs from wave hydrodinamical modellinq of the upper reachof San Antonio River (Province of COrdoba-Arg.) arepresented. Because tnis is mountain river considerationsabout pattern of channel and type of waves has to be made.The full Saint Venant equations in its conservativedifferential form are solved by means of different fluvialmathematical models. It is concluded that for mountainsrivers. only models that uses conservative equations andtaKes into account regime changes are appropiate.Because of the strong spatial variation of parameterssuch as river channel geometry and flow resistance it is alschighlighted the importance of having more hydraulic a,~topografical data thah required for alluvial streams
