Resumen:
The assemblage of ostracoda fauna from three ephemeral ponds in Patagonia Argentina is composed of Cypris pubera, Eucypris virens and Tonnacypris lutaria. Living specimens of C. pubera was already cited for the region while E. virens are recognized in the Neotropical zoogeographical region in Holocene sequences. These extant species present together in temporary environments of Patagonia suggests an increase of their geographical distribution probably due to the passive dispersal via migratory birds. On the other hand we recorded the first record of the genus Tonnacypris in the south of the Neotropical region. The biogeographical distribution of this species is an open question which required more sampling in this area.
