Resumen:
The materials employed in conditions of dry sliding can present different wear regimens. The wear regimens are mainly conditioned by the different parameters of the tribological system such as: load, sliding velocity, room temperature, humidity, and the configuration of the wear machine. Wear maps are usefull tools for the selection of materials. They are clear and precise for to found the range of load and sliding velocity adequade for each materials [1]. Multiples test at several load and sliding velocities are necessary for recollect information necessary to built wear maps, other parameters are constant: materials, lubrication conditions, room temperature and moisture. Optical and electrocical microscopy from the worn surface and subsurface are necessary for the identification of the wear mechanisms. The objective is determine the wear transition between mild and severe performing several test to differents load using a constant sliding velocity.
