Resumen:
The bimetallic materials are developed for a diversity of reasons; among them we can mention replacing expensive alloys, to improve the superficial aspect, to obtain a higher mechanical resistance, resistance to abrasive wear or to the corrosion. The present investigation is carried out in zinc – aluminum alloys (Zn-4%Al, Zn-16%Al and Zn-27%Al) in their different structures (columnar, equiaxial and with transition, CET), in order to study the correlation between the solidification, structural and electrochemical parameters. The results are strongly dependent of both, the aluminum concentration and the type of structure present in the alloy.
