Capacidades de circulación de la investigación en Argentina: clivajes del capital institucional e internacionalmente reconocido en el caso de la Universidad Nacional de San Martín

The debate about the communication modalities and scientific information systems has recently been renewed in various parts of the world, mainly due to the impulse acquired by the open access movement and the criticism to he overweighting of the indexed publication system as a source of institutional/individual acknowledgment. From a critical perspective about this dominant paradigm of internationalization, becoming from the hierarchies imposed by the mainstream circuit, this paper seeks to contribute to a more integral understanding of the complexity that have the various spatial scales of academic recognition observable especially in spaces considered peripheral, such as Argentina.Adhering to the approach of multiscale circulation of knowledge, the methodology deployed seeks to transcend the traditional working model, based in the collection of information from mainstream databases. For this, we have instrumented a set of specific indicators on the circulation of knowledge that have to be surveyed in their own environment according to a bottom-up data collection logic. In this case, we present the findings achieved in one of the institutional studies deployed in the country, about National University of San Martín, focusing on the block of indicators related to its interactions and research capacities.
