The objective of this paper is to analyze the trajectory of national environmental policies during the last military dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983).Public policies for the environmental management of the military government showed anerratic trajectory, where the environment was one more instrument in the exercise of apower that was realized brutally, with the purpose of subjecting Argentine society todrastic economic-political transformations.
