“Multicomponent polymer networks produced by polymerization-induced phase separation”

Polymerization-induced phase separation in systems of two different modifiers dissolved in thermoset precursors leads to a variety of morphologies and properties of the resulting multicomponent polymer networks. Depending on the mutual compatibility among the different components a single or a double phase separation process may take place. Particular examples showing both types of behaviours will be described.
