A brief review of the lithostratigraphy and the regional geological context of the Las Cabras Formation is given. A taxonomic list of identified species precedes the statistic analysis of 7 microfloristic associations. The microflora is compared with the megaflora of the Las Cabras Formation. Paleoecological and paleoenvironmental conclusions are drawn from the composition of the microflora. Hygrophile and mesophile elements of the microflora are distinguished. Through microfloristic analysis a Middle Triassic age is established for the Las Cabras Formation.
