Resumen:
The present study involves the synthesisand characterization of novel magnetic composites from agricultural waste andiron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4, MNPs) and their potential in waterpurification. Sun flower husk was pre-treated with alkali and acid solution.The magnetic composites were obtained by incorporating sunflower husk (pre andnon-pretreated) on the MNPs co-precipitation media. Raw materials andcomposites were characterized by SEM, TEM, FTIR and DRX. The surface charge ofadsorbent material was estimated by z potential measurements and the averagehydrodynamic size was determined by DLS data. Their performance in waterremediation was evaluated in in batch experiences employing lead and dichlorvosas model of heavy metals and pesticides pollutants.
