Resumen:
The use of polylactic acid (PLA) as raw material for the manufacture of biodegradable composite polymers has great potential due to its easy availability1 and its high biodegradability2. Due to its rigidity in the raw state, it can be combined with different polymers and plasticizers to produce processable blends, suitable for different applications. The present work was carried out with mixtures of PLA and Ecoflex®, using as plasticizers Cardolite 514S (CL), mixed waste epoxidized oil with an epoxy value of of 0.28 mol/100g (OE) and low cost commercial soybean epoxidized oil (OC). The mechanical properties of the compounds produced were studied by a universal mechanical testing machine.
