A Meteorological Preprocessor for a Chemistry Transport Model, and Comparisons

In this work a meteorological preprocessor for a chemistry transport model is presented. The objective is to create a user interface in order to create meteorological fields coming from the model MM5 for the chemistry transport model POLAIR3D. The validation of the preprocessor is done via a simulation in the city of Berlin, and a comparison against another running model in the same area. The fields obtained in the preprocessing part are the wind (horizontal and vertical), vertical diffusion, relative and specific humidity, changing also the coordinates according to the projection used.
