Resumen:
The platyrrine skull N° 17.3 held by the Mammalogy Section of the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales (Buenos Aires) is undoubtedly attributable to Callicebus and came from the Argentine province of Formosa. A more precise location for the specimen was not provided by collector Mr. Cáceres, who sold the specimen to the museum early in the XX century. In Paraguay, Callicebus donacophilus pallescens reaches the Pilcomayo river, a geographic boundary between Argentina and Paraguay, but up to now there are no records of Callicebus from the Argentine border.
