A B STRACT Objective: It isimportanttohaveadequateandupdatedguidesfor reporting healtheconomicevaluations(HEE).Duetotheirnatureand methodologicalcomplexity,HEEhaveparticularchallengesfor adequate reporting,whichcanbegreaterthanmoretraditionalstudy designs suchasrandomizedcontrolledtrials.CHEERS(Consolidated Health EconomicEvaluationReportingStandards)haverecentlybeen published inEnglish.OurobjectivesweretoadapttheCHEERSlistto Spanish. Methods andResults: We followedtherecommended methods oftheEquator(EnhancingtheQualityandTransparencyOf health Research)network.WemadeaninitialtranslationtoSpanish, a backtranslationtoEnglish,andaninitialSpanishversionthatwas circulated throughISPORandREDETSA.Finally,a final Spanish version wasconsolidated.Thelistcontains24itemsgroupedinTitle and Abstract;Introduction;Methods;Results;Discussion;andOther (which includedconflict ofinterestreporting).Thescopeofuseis independentofmethodologicalvehicle(eithersingle-studyorevi- dence synthesis-basedHEE);typeofstrategiestoevaluate(clinicalor public health;preventive,diagnostic,curative,palliative).Mostofthe items aregenericandapplytoanystudydesign;whilesomeofthem are particularlyorientedtosingle-studyorevidence-synthesis/mod- eling studies. Conclusions: Diffusion anduseoftheCHEERSchecklist in Spanishwillcontributetoamoreconsistentandtransparent reporting ofhealtheconomicevaluationsinSpanishspeaking contexts.
