Resumen:
This paper analyzes the performance of a control strategy for a hybrid electrical microgrid during the modetransition based on a master-slave configuration. The converters are controlled as current sources in grid-connected mode, andthe master converter switches its control to a voltage source in islanded mode. The results obtained from simulations inMATLAB/Simulink demonstrate a smooth transition between the modes of operation, complying with international power qualitystandards. The effectiveness of the local fault detection technique is confirmed, ensuring a fast response time in detecting changesin the state of the power grid. Additionally, the behavior of the microgrid’s voltage Vrms during the master converter controlchanges is analyzed, giving results within the limits established by Standard IEC 62040-3.
