Resumen:
Exploring catabolic pathways and the enzymes involved in these processes allows enhancing mycoremediation treatments. Laccase and lipolytic enzymes are involved in the degradation of various pollutants. In this chapter, we present a methodology that combines SDS-PAGE and ND-PAGE to identify laccases and lipolytic enzymes and their isoenzymes. This technique not only provides information on molecular weight or the existence of isoenzymes but also provides a preliminary and simple way to determine the affinity for short- or long-chain fatty acids, using fluorescent substrates.
