Resumen:
Like many cities in the world, a high share of energy demand for heating, commercial/industrial activities and transportation is concentrated in the Argentinean urban agglomerations. In Mendoza, there is also a growing tendency towards the concentration of population in the metropolitan area. Since the city is becoming the main center of generation of man-related emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants, many of the corrective measures to reduce emissions will have to be taken in the city itself
