Resumen:
The talk concerns experimental methods used for the determination of the thermal diffusivity of a material. A first part is focused on the Laloy & Massard model which is based on the one-dimensional analytical solution of the transient heat equation. We introduce an improvement of the mathematical internal approximation that leads to a better estimation of the diffusivity. This new improved method is tested against synthetic data. Lastly, a discussion is made about the uncertainties coming from measurement errors. A second part is dedicated to a slightly different method which uses a periodic boundary temperature. We discuss the advantages of this second method.
