Resumen:
In the present work the presence of the sea anemone Exaiptasia diaphana is reported for the first time in Isla del Coco National Park, Costa Rica. This species was observed associated with rhodoliths in the area of Punta Ulloa. Photographs of specimens in situ as well as data of their external anatomy are provided. The geographic distribution is extended as well as their bathymetric distribution from the intertidal to 14 m depth. The photographs provide evidence of clonal reproduction by pedal laceration.
