Resumen:
In Fiambalá region (Catamarca province, Argentina), rock art sites are placed at different altitudinal levels of the mesothermal valley (1400-1800 m.a.s.l), the ravines of Cordillera de Narváez (3500-3000 m.a.s.l) and the Cordillera de San Buenaventura (2700-2850 m.a.s.l). All the images relatively ascribed to the first millennium of the era were engraved on different kind of support (panels, isolated or clustered blocks) and are located on natural circulation pathways. Up to now all of them were classified and the thematic repertoire, the way of resolution and the places they are constructing were analyzed. In this opportunity we propose to evaluate the similarities and differences between the images documented on these rock art sites located on circulation pathways and those deployed on ceramic vessels recovered from the contemporary villages and temporary posts. We will take into account not only the thematic repertoire but also the visual resources involved in image resolution. The analysis will focus a sample of rock and ceramic images from contexts located in the first millennium of the era. We will analyze the rock art images documented on the sites: Alero Peña Abajo 1, Suri Potrero and Los Morteros. All of them are located on places of transit, visually and spatially separated from residential sites. Meanwhile, images deployed on ceramic support correspond to fragmented materials recovered from interventions or systematic surface collections made in the villages of Palo Blanco, La Troya and Ojo del Agua 1.
