Patterns of integration of Peruvians and Bolivians migrants in Argentina (Córdoba): occupational trajectories, residential segregation and socioeconomic incorporation, 1991-2010

The goal of this project is to understand the patterns of integration of Peruvians and Bolivians migrants in Argentina. The debate in the social sciences and public discourse was about the concepts and theories on assimilation, transnationalism, segmented assimilation, or ethnoracial incorporation, among others, to explain the processes of integration / assimilation / integration of migrants. We are planning a quantitative approach in this phase. In the first stage we are going to analyse census data (spatial segregation and socioeconomic incorporation considering the last three census 1991-2010). In the second stage, we are going to conduct a specific survey in order to study the occupational trajectories of migrants in two specific neighbourhood of the city with high concentration of migrants
