Resumen:
The presentation aims to discuss union practices at different scales of action and the global/local relations performed within it. I address this issue discussing three empirical tensions I have identified during my fieldwork in the Techint Workers World Council. The first one is the tension between democratic/participatory and bureaucratic/delegative practices in the building of the Council. The second one is the tension between what I call the ?particularism? underlying workers social experience and the Global Policies unfolded by Corporations. The third one is the tension or the differentiation between International Solidarity and Union Global Power.
