Resumen:
Biological invasions is a hot topic today as reflected by the enormous amount of scientific publications, projects, organizations and web sites devoted to the study, policy, and management of introduced species (GISP: The Global Invasive Species Programme; Simberloff, D. A. 2004, Lowe et al. 2000). The scientific community have identified that biological invasions, climate change and habitat fragmentation are among the leading threats to the maintenance of global biodiversity (CBD, Río de Janeiro, Biodiversity Convention, Brazil, 1992).
