In a general bioclimatic characterization, can be indicated the following bioclimates: High Andes: Mediterranean semiarid to eremitic in the high mountain, Patagonia: Temperate arid to the west to semiarid to the east, with central sectors Mediterranean (Supra-mediterranean) semiarid, Payunia: Temperate semiarid (Meso-mediterranean superior) to the west, Tropical semiarid to the east and Mediterranean arid toward the south, Puna: Tropical (Supra-tropical) semiarid at north to Meso-mediterranean arid to the south, Cardonal: Tropical semiarid to Tropical arid to the south, Monte: Tropical sub.desertic at north, Tropical sub-desertic hyperarid to eremitic in the central-west to Mesotropical arid to the east, Arid Chaco: Tropical (Meso-tropical) arid to sub.humid inferior low (Semiarid) to the south-east.
