Resumen:
The genus Neomida Latreille (Diaperinae:Diaperini) comprises 42 species inthe New World. One of these species is Neomida luteonotata (Pic, 1926) which iseasily recognized among other described Neomidaby its unique elytral coloration, which consists of a large shield-shaped blackspot bordered by yellowish to reddish brown spots close to the anterior,lateral and posterior edges. Here we propose Hoplocephala atricollis as a junior synonym of Neomida luteonotata on the basis of examination of photographs ofthe types of Kulzer of Hoplocephalahuedepohli and H. atricollis and confirmthat both are synonymous of N. luteonotata.
