Resumen:
Fannia fusconotata (Rondani, 1868) andFannia sanihue Domínguez & Aballay, 2008 are recordedfor the first time in Uruguay, extending the Neotropicaldistribution of these taxa eastward in South America.The specimens were collected using modified Malaisetraps located above pig carcasses in Pando, Canelones,Uruguay, from February to April 2011. This contributionis a part of the first study to be undertaken into forensicentomology in Uruguay.
