Resumen:
ABSTRACT. Based on individual tracks of 37 species of Epicauta Dejean, 1834 from southern South America we found six generalized tracks located in two different biotic areas: four are present in the Neotropical region, one in the Andean Region and the other in the South America Transition Zone. It has been determined four nodes, one of them located in the Paranaense subregion, three in the Chacoan subregion and one in the South American Transition Zone. The large number of nodes obtained shows that the study area has a complex biogeographic history. This complexity may have been due to the many events that occurred in the Cenozoic in South America, which have eluded different cyclic shifts of the Neotropical biota during this period.
