Resumen:
In this work, we show some results corresponding to fabrication and characterization of multilayered films for spin-valve applications. The films were grown by pulsed laser deposition using Nd-YAG with 266 nm, from a multitarget system of three individual target. The multilayers are composed of two ferromagnetic layer (one of them is pinned) separated by a non magnetic one. As the pinner layer we used the CoFe2O4 ferrimagnet. As it has been proposed by Viart et al [1], this oxide is attractive for replacing the synthetic antiferromagnetic structures used in this kind of device due to its chemical stability and good structural matching with typical ferromagnets used as pinned layer as bcc-Fe, permalloy or CoFe2. As separating non magnetic layer we deposited oxides like ZnO, TiO2 and AlOx. The properties of films were analyzed by means of AFM and SEM microscopies. We also show the corresponding magnetic characterization of multilayers, including their FORC diagrams. Finally, we report a magnetoresistance rate of 13 % at room temperature in current perpendicular to plane configuration.
