Resumen:
Ferromagnetism in diluted magnetic oxides is one of the most interesting new problems in magnetism. A wide variety of magnetic behaviors were reported, but the results are very dependent on fabrication conditions and especially on the sample shape (film or bulk). In this work we present a study of the magnetic properties of pure and Co-doped SnO2 thin films, deposited on LaAlO2  (LAO) by pulsed laser deposition (PLD), in order to understand the role of the dopant in the origin and significance of detected ferromagnetism. The films were structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the magnetic properties were measured using a SQUID.
