Resumen:
The uncertainty principle is one of the major features of quantum mechanics because it establishes a limitation on the predictability of incompatible observables, and it is a characteristic of the quantum world without classical analogue. Originally it has been formulated in terms of variances of quantum observables leading to the well-known Heisenberg-Robertson Uncertainty Relation (UR). However, this formulation presents some drawbacks and does not capture the essence of the principle in typical situations. The aim of this talk is to go beyond original formulation, presenting two different approaches, namely : (i) one, using information-theoretic measures leading to entropic URs (ii) the other based on a geometric viewpoint that leads to fidelity-based URs.
