Resumen:
I will discuss the evaluation, through zeta
regularization, of bosonic effective actions in the whole temperature
range, as well as the resulting thermodynamic properties and their
behavior under temperature inversion. As particular
examples, I will treat conformal scalar fields in homogeneous lens
spaces (a problem of cosmological interest) and the
temperature-dependent Casimir effect.
