Resumen:
The secondary particles produced during the interaction of primary gamma rays or cosmic rays inthe atmosphere can be measured using Water Cherenkov Detectors (WCD). Detailed simulationsof the WCD signals produced by the interactions of the secondaries inside the detector arecomputationally time consuming, so a fast simulator is desirable. In this work, we use completeand detailed simulations of awater Cherenkov detector based on Geant4 to obtain a parametrizationof the average signal response for different types of secondary particles as a function of the particleenergy and incident angle. This parametrization is used to generate approximate signals whichmatch the signals generated by the full detector simulation.37th International Cosmic Ray Conference (ICRC 2021)July 12th ? 23rd, 2021Online ?
