Resumen:
Mixed TiO2-a-Fe2O3 powders with 10 at. % of  Fe were prepared by high-energy ball milling. The influence of the preparation method was studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and magnetometry experiments. The obtained phase was predominantly rutile Ti(Fe)O2 remaining a low percent of the initial hematite phase. In all VSM curves a magnetic behavior and a paramagnetic contribution were observed at 300 K. The magnetic response could be attributed to Fe uncompensated moments in the hematite/rutile interface. On other hand, the paramagnetic contribution is associated to Fe substituting Ti in the rutile phase with a magnetic moment estimated at 5.24 mB/Fe at.
