Resumen:
Theaim of the communication is to present the research project:?Anti-terrorist Laws in Argentina in the Latin American context(2007-2020): Resistance Strategies from the South?. In LatinAmerica specialrules were adopted to promote the criminal prosecution of terrorism.Besidesit is argued thatthis newlawisto ?fightagainst money laundering?, othersexpress the?risk of criminalization of social protest? that this legislationwould generate since it does not specify what is meant by terrorismand would lead to discretionary application. However, the origin of this local regulation is founded in internationalstipulations from the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering(FATF), the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime(2000), and the "National Strategy to Combat Terrorism"developed by the White House (2003). Thegeneral objective is to provide critical scientific knowledge for thegeneration and/or consolidation of strategies from the South toconfront the dynamics of anti-terrorism laws promoted within theframework of the "Global War on Terror"-launched in September 2001 by the United States of America-and its potential violations of human rights, strengthening thecomplaint and resistance actions of local social and human rightsorganizations and their network in Latin American. The research aimsare: to assess this anti-terrorism law, to analyse the practices ofthe local governments, and to characterize local actors who complaintand build-up counter-strategies. Indeed, will explore the impact ofthese law into the judicial practices. The final purpuse is totransfer the knowledge gained to a broad audience.Thepresent project follows the methodologies of collaborative research, and the perspective of the sociology of law and legal anthropology. The methods proposed are qualitative and adopted the etnographicstrategy of field work.Amongthe concrete outputs is thegatheringofhuman rights violations complaintsdue to the implementation of the new antiterrorismlegislation.
