Resumen:
The tremendous grow of synchrotron
radiation, where emitted photons are processed by sophisticated optics elements
making the radiation useful for several applications in a wide range of energy,
is originated in its diversity for powerful application for basic and applied
research and technology.
The overwhelming application of this kind
of radiation to science and technology at the nanoscale means that the scene is
set for this key subject to impact on the development of Nanoscience and
Nanotechnology. In particular, X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopies
are being successfully applied to studies of nanostructured materials, their
genesis, characteristics, and properties under different conditions.
In this chapter we
will provide fundamental information about apparatus and techniques and their
application on a diverse set of basic properties of nanostructures.
