Resumen:
The aim of pipeline logistics is to timely deliver the right set of products at minimum cost. The problem involves pump sequencing, batch sizing and batch stripping operations. Previous work applied discrete decomposition approaches based on heuristics. This paper introduces an MILP continuous formulation in both time and volume domains. The optimal schedule of pump and delivery operations is found at once. Results show that simultaneous injections lead to a better use of the transport capacity.
