This symposium offers an overview of the anthropological attention to epidemics, vectordiseases, and zoonoses in Africa, America, Europe and the Asia. How the epidemics,biosurveillance and their health public policies have been performed from the globalinfrastructures of science, technology, and their international corporations involving localand ecological entanglements? This symposium presents some results of the pre-event ?VMapping Contemporary Controversies Meeting: Ecology, health and biosecurity? realized onJuly 12 and 13 in Porto Alegre, and discuss about epidemics analyzes national-state domains,international borders, colonialism and the scientific imperialism in HIV, Flu, Leishmaniasis,Zika, Dengue, and Yellow Fever policies. Also it includes rights, moralities, vulnerabilities, risksand exclusion from different fields of interest such as biopolitics and microbiopolitics, humananimal relations, Global Health, feminism, science studies, and new digital technologies.
