Tribology and mechanical properties of composite materials

Composite materials are of major interest intechnological applications, such as automotive,aerospace, wind power, oil and gas industries, etc. Inthe past decades, Halloysite nanotubes have attractedresearcher?s attention due to their excellent ability asmaterials reinforcement and chemical carriers.Here we propose to enhance the tribological andmechanical properties of epoxy based systems usingHalloysite (HNT) as reinforcement. We present astrategy to compatibilize HNT with the epoxy matrixand we develop an experimental setup to test linearabrasion resistance.
