Resumen:
Incorporation of fluorine into polymeric materials leads to attractive changes of its properties, such as dielectric constant, modulus of elasticity, contact angle, etc. The way the curing process is performed and the use of different contents of fluorine, give rise to singular morphologies influencing those properties (Yu-Seung et al, 2002; Bondiovanni et al, 1997). In order to understand the mechanisms which yield different morphologies and properties, an epoxy-diamine matrix modified with a fluorinated  monoamine was studied. The epoxy resin employed was a monomer of diglycidilether of bisfenol A (DGEBA, DER331, Dow). 4,4´-methylenebis(3-chloro-2,6-diethylaniline) (MCDEA, Lonza) and 3-trifluoromethylaniline (MAF, Aldrich) were used as curing agents.
