This paper presents the analysis of bone ítems found in Huyliche site, located in the highlands (ca. 850 msnm) of the upper basin of Santa Cruz river (Argentina) and dated in 400 years BP approximately. This site is an inhumation area, where six human bodies with ochre concentrations are associated to lithic artifacts and bone tools. In this opportunity we present the morphological characterization of these 27 bone tools, which are mainly, represented by bone beads. We expose, also, the microscopic analysis of all the pieces, searching for manufacture and/or functional signatures in order to discuss the presence of these items in this particular context.
