Resumen:
The worldwide interest in biobased polymers has accelerated in recent years due to the need to find non-fossil-fuel based polymers. Due to the concern about the environment and the depletion of non-renewable resources, the exploit of raw materials derived from plants, animals, microorganisms and wastes for the production of polymeric materials is constantly growing. Moreover, the use of vegetable oils and their derivatives as polymer building blocks has several advantages that lie mainly in the renewability, availability and versatility of the starting substrate.
