Resumen:
The development of polymeric nanocomposites obtained from renewable raw materials has become an important area of research due to their potential applications in different scientific and industrial fields and due to environmental advantages.Tung oil is extracted from the seeds of the tung tree and it is a highly unsaturated oil that can be polymerized with styrene in the presence of a cationic initiator . Previous works have reported that some of the compositions display shape memory properties (SMP) . The load of these systems with nano-magnetite (NM) (can increase their applications. The magnetite can be thermally activated by an alternating magnetic field, producing a release of heat, which under specific conditions, can be used to change the SMP of the nanocomposites. The aim of this work is to study the influence of NM concentration on a polymeric matrix based on tung oil and styrene.
