Resumen:
One of the most characterictic responses of phagocitic cells is the respiratory burst in which superoxide is the lethal oxidant product formed by the enzyme NADPH-oxidase. Several stimuli such as fMLP and PMA can activate the enzyme in neutrophils (PMN).
